He was predeceased by: his parents, John Helton and Clara Helton (Stamper); and his sisters, Mary Helen McCullough, Wanda Hoagland and Barbara Salyers.

He is survived by: his wife Lyvonne McIntosh Helton; his children, Tonya Helton Spall (Chris) and Charles Michael Helton (Michelle); his grandchildren, Kasey Wilson (Ethan), Samantha Spall, Cable Spall and Kailey Helton; his great grandchild Lyndi Wilson; and also Crothersville.

IN Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family in care of Buchanan Funeral Home.
