He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude DeHart and Evalee DeHart (Napier); his wife Enda DeHart; and his sisters, Millie Gibson and Mary Eads.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda DeHart, Glenna DeHart Vaughn, Charlie DeHart (Cris), Ken DeHart (Carmen) and Jim DeHart (Joyce); and his siblings, Polly Bowling, Leola Engle and Hobert DeHart. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
