He was predeceased by: his parents, Worley Howard and Zola Howard; his wife Wilma Jean Howard; his son Carl Wayne Howard; and his siblings, Lester, Elbert, James, Woodrow, Leonard, Raymond, Ralph, Clarence, Dexter Howard, Geneva and Ola Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Namon Howard (Debbie) of Crothersville and Sharon Howard of Austin, Indiana; his great grandchildren, Marcus Waddell (Chelsea) of Covington, Neveah Lange (David) of Lakewood, Drey, Jent Howard of Crothersville, Ava, Eden Scifres of Crothersville and Cash Howard of Hazard, Kentucky.; and his siblings, Juanita Ritenour of Brookville and Wallace Howard of Dayton, Ohio.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
