He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vollie Smith and Vernice Smith (Moore); his wife Sherry L. Smith (Couch); his son Jeremiah Smith (Teresa) of Austin, IN; his grandchildren, Kiley Smith, Chris Blanton, Ethan Yarber and Magnus Smith; his stepsons, Gary Madden, Christopher Madden, Justin Madden and Derek Madden; and his siblings, Shirley Thomas (Bob) of Austin, IN, Glenna Hendricks of Scottsburg, IN, Juanita Watts of Austin, IN, Richard Smith (Kimberly), Ernest Smith and Brenda Stamper.

Memorial donations may be given in memory of Aaron to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
