He was predeceased by: his parents, Zephery Carter and Bertha Carter (Sebree); his daughter Kimberly Ashcraft; his siblings, Charlie Carter, Joe Carter, Barbara Thayer and Candy Carter; his granddaughter Hannah; and his great grandchild Kimberlee.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Carter (Mills); his son Kenneth Ashcraft of Indianapolis, IN; his siblings, Betty Metcalf (Paul), Dietrich, Mary Vinson (Bob) of Aurora, IN and Bill Carter (Anna) of Hamilton, OH; his grandchildren, Grant Ashcraft (Emily), Brittany Moritz (Jacob), Mickayla Bernius (Christian), Brandon, Jordan, Brionna and Kennan; and his great grandchildren, Allie, Rylee, Bentlee and Aubrie.
