He was predeceased by: his parents, George Chase of Washington and Edith Chase (Peters); his wife Edna Kay Chase; his daughter Patty Chase; his stepdaughter Geraldine Goodpaster; his siblings, George Chase and Catherine Thies; and his nephew Hargis Wayne Milam.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Jackie Greive of Aurora, IN and Frederick "Ric" Nelson; his nieces and nephews, Irma Jean Thies, Brenda Sheldon, Bob Chase, Dave Chase and Ron Milam; and his friend Henry Wallace.
