“Joel was smart and funny, kind and outgoing. I was particularly drawn to his sense of humor. Whether doing an impromptu Groucho Marx or Lou Costello (Who’s On First) he was always pitch perfect. Joel was also quite the actor. Last spring I was fortunate enough to work with him. He played Momus, God of Criticism, Satire and Blame in my comedy Momus and Aphrodite. Joel said he felt it was a part he was destined to play. R.I.P. With your passing the world is now a little less zany. Fred Rothzeid”
