She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland F. Westphalen and Thekla Rose Westphalen (Schmitt); her husband Karl F. Kappelman; her siblings, Wilbur, Allen Westphalen, Romilda Heinen and Armella Sabell; and her grandson Nicholas Kappelman.
She is survived by: her children, John Kappelman (Chris) of Eagle River, WI, Carla Mastin (Dennis) of Limon, CO, David Kappelman (Patty) of Francis Creek, WI, Kathy Kappelman of Manitowoc, WI, Peter Kappelman (Shellie) of Two Rivers, WI, Sarah Frey (Robert) of Tampa, FL and Robert Kappelman (Rachel) of Deerbrook, WI.; her sisters, Evelyn Zeman of Racine, WI and Virginia Dickrell (Donald) of Green Bay, WI; and also Ellie Westphalen of Plymouth, WI.. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (916 Pine St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
