He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Nixon and Lexie Nixon (Kayser); his wife Margaret Nixon; his sisters, Jackie Brogran and Martha Sue Howell; and his grandchildren, Amber and Levi Scarbrough.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Langley of San Francisco, CA, Calie Nixon of Texas, Randy Nixon (Renee) of Hurley, MS, Carol Ann Griffin (Tim) of Moss Point, MS and Jacob Nixon of Marietta, OH; and his siblings, Paul Nixon of Lucedale, MS, Lonnie Nixon of Lucendale, MS and Annie Swain of Virgina. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
