He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Poinsett and Ruth Poinsett (Davis); and his brother-in-law Vincent Slater. He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Scott of Georgetown and Michelle Martin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister Shirley Slater of Fort Wayne; and his brother-in-law Ronald Steele of Fort Wayne.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given in memory of Tom to Trinity Lutheran Church.
