He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nixon and Catherine Nixon (Settlemire); and his brother John Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Amy Nixon (Yost); his children, Tonia Herman (David) of Angola, Thad Nixon (Anna) of Auburn, Robert Vass of Charlotte, NC, Margaret Vass of Fort Wayne, Amanda Widenhoefer (Brian) of Leo and Lindsay Neal (Brad) of Grabill; his grandchildren, Brett Herman (Cheyenne), Mark Herman, Justin Lomont, Madeline Herman, Alexis Nixon, Caleb Nixon, Ella Nixon, Isabella Vass, Alexandra Vass, Daniela Vass, Victoria Vass, Brennan Byerline, Ethan Widenhoefer, Kendal Culbertson, Oliver Culbertson, Olivia Neal and Charlie Neal (Wesley Neal); and his brother Kim Nixon (Mary) of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
