He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bremer and Marguerite Bremer; his wife Anita Cook; and his sisters, Shirley Klenke and Jane Farver.

He is survived by: his daughters, Carma Johnson of Auburn, Julie Bremer of Auburn and Susanne Wilber (Glenn) of South Carolina; and his siblings, Lois Cole of Avon, Ohio, William Bremer of Woodburn, John Bremer (Pam) of North Carolina and Dave Bremer (Terri) of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
