He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin E. Harris and Marceil E. Harris (Saalfrank); his son David Matthew Harris; his niece Samantha Grace Stiltner; and his nephew Bruce David Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy J. Harris of Auburn; his daughters, Holly N. Harris (Paul M.) of Auburn and Tiffany Harris (Pepple) of Leo; his grandchildren, Hayden J. Harris, Hayley J. Harris and Hadley G. Harris; and his siblings, Marcia E. Miller of Bluffton, Martha E. Harris of Bluffton, Marlene E. (Paul Hess), Marilin E. Stiltner (Mark E.) of Berne and Susan Harris of Bluffton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
