He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shearer and Ruth Shearer (Aldridge); his wife Eleanor Shearer (Dressler); his daughter Carol Shearer; and his sister Natalie Altimus.
He is survived by: his son Ronnie Shearer of Auburn; and his granddaughters, Heather Hall and Wendy Garrison. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
