He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawson Jacobs and Juanita Jacobs (Watson); his sisters, Anna Sue Jacobs and Donna K. Jacobs; and his great grandchild Ruby Mae Jacobs.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jacobs of Auburn; his children, Darrell W. Jacobs of Waterloo, Joyce Thacker (Jeff) of Kendallville, Sharon Norris (Jim) of Hamilton, Lisa Sumner (Johnny) of Auburn and Mada Boulineau (Bo) of Garrett; his grandchildren, Charles Grubb, Richard Norris, Johnny Sumner Jr., Casey Jacobs, Bailey Jacobs, Brittany Ramirez, Brady Miller, Amanda Lester and Cameron Lester; and his brother Claude Jacobs (Sharon) of Auburn. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
