He was predeceased by: his former wife Maretha Patton (Krick); and his wife Shirley Patton. He is survived by: his children, Crystal (Gary Gillespie), Eric (Sheri Patton) and Lesley Patton (Dawn Ranly); his grandchildren, Jacob Gillespie, Jennifer Baldwin, Joshua (Miranda Moriarity), Zachary (Lindsey Patton), Austin (Liz Williford) and Autumn Williford (Bradon Waggoner); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Abby, Ava, Quinn, Cullen, Lucy, James, Nathan, Elizabeth, Oliver, Kain and Harlow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can may be given in memory of Jim to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
