He is survived by: his wife Jolynn Keen of Auburn; his son Jerry D. Keen Jr. (Desiree) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Braya Keen and Braxton Keen; and his siblings, Von O. Keen (Shirley) of Keen Mountain, John E. Keen (Mary) of Montpelier, Ronnie G. Keen (Susie) of Richlands, Homer R. Keen (Tina) of Spencerville and Brenda S. Gibson of Auburn.
