He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold O. DeLong and Ida Mae DeLong (Smith); his siblings, Dale DeLong and Carolyn; his siblings-in-law, Dave Lash, Tom Morse and Janice DeLong; his nephews, Steve DeLong and Chuck DeLong; and his niece Bonita Agee.
He is survived by: his former wife P. Irene Fischer; his wife Barbara J. Bonfield; his siblings, Bob DeLong of Turkey Lake, Leroy (Jane DeLong), Hugh (Ramonda DeLong), Paul (Sherry DeLong), Loretta (Chuck Nesbitt) and Diana Morse of Kendallville; and his close friends, Leslie and Gary Hamman of Auburn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
