She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Shipe and Velma Shipe (Grogg); her spouse Marion David Kessler; her daughter Leona Murphy; her grandson Alex Murphy; her siblings, Cleo Shipe (Ruthie), Don Shipe, Clytia Connor (Tom), Crystal Mahoney (Perry), Jenny Bailey and Berdenia Utrup (Art); and her siblings-in-law, Keith Amstutz and Carol Shipe.

She is survived by: her son Edward; her daughter-in-law Cindy Kessler of Auburn; her grandchildren, Adam Murphy, Brian Kessler, Josh Kessler (Jalyssa) and Alisha Chapman (Ron); her great grandchildren, Sophia Murphy, Daelynn Kessler, Zoie Murphy, Abigail Kessler, David Kessler, Jayen Chapman, Dasan Chapman and Rosslynn Chapman; her siblings, Merrit Shipe of Indianapolis, Barb Horseman of Bluffton and Gloria Amstutz of Middletown, Ohio; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Bailey of DeLand, Florida and Jan Shipe of Huntertown.
