He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ronald and Gladys Mae Benson (Taylor). He is survived by: his wife Diana Benson of Auburn; his son Charles; his daughter-in-law Tiffany Benson of Auburn; his children, Desrea Brown of Garrett and Alex; his daughter-in-law Ashley Benson of Lakewood Ranch, Florida.; his daughter Beth; his son-in-law Gary Zartman of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Jace, Korah, Deakin, Aidan, Keagan, Stella, Addison, Derek and George; his sister Eileen; and his brother-in-law Colin Taylor of Fort Wayne.
