He was predeceased by: his parents, Aelred A. Pfefferkorn and Myra M. Pfefferkorn (Horstman); his daughter Michelle L. Pfefferkorn; and his sister Jane San Angelo. He is survived by: his wife Karen M. Pfefferkorn of Auburn; his son Matthew J. Pfefferkorn of Auburn; and his siblings, Edward Pfefferkorn (Kimberly) of Auburn, James A. Pfefferkorn (Jackie) of Auburn, Bradley J. Pfefferkorn (Michelle) of Auburn, Marlene Taylor (Rodney) of Monroe, Sandra Mettert (Tom) of Angola, June Pressler (Rocky) of Waterloo, Laura Mann of Montpelier and Sarah Seifert (Jay) of Auburn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
