With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carolyn R. Hudson of Auburn, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Carolyn left this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard L. Means and Lilian Means (Kling); her brothers, Lloyd and Lynn Means; her siblings-in-law, Dewey Gebo and Cheryl Means; her nephews, Jared A. Means and Jeffrey L. Gloyd; her stepson Tony Hudson; her grandson Shawn D. Shaffer; and her stepson-in-law Rod Hoskins.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Shaffer of Auburn, Ricky Shaffer (Katelyn) of Visalia, CA and Robin Lansford of Porterville, CA; her stepdaughter Tammy Hoskins; her granddaughter Whitnee Bosch (Keegan) of Las Vegas, NV; her stepgrandson Jason Southern (Ashley) of Ft. Wayne; her great grandchildren, Kolten, Westen Bosch, C. D. Shaffer and Chloe M. Roman; her siblings, Loren Means (Joie) of Ft. Wayne, Lyle Means (Joan) of Ft. Wayne, Lowell "Bud" Means of Ft. Wayne, Joyce Geise (Greg) of Hamilton and Rita Gebo of Leo; and her sister-in-law Nancy Means of Ft. Wayne. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hopewell United Brethren Church (6852 Co Rd 35, Auburn, IN 46706). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
