He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Roscoe Brooks and Gwen Walters; and his daughter Tami Osborne. He is survived by: his sons, Carlos D. Brooks Jr. of Auburn, Steve Brooks (Sara) of Auburn and Jeff Brooks (Steph) of Spencerville; and his former wife Sharon Brooks of Auburn. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association.
