We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2022, at the age of 73, Luther D. Phillips of Attica, Indiana, born in Somerset, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Cage Esker and Ollie Ethel Phillips (Whitehead); his daughter Patty Phillips Carter; his stepson Richie Vallengeon; his granddaughter Allyson Krout Jordan; and his siblings, Junior Phillips, Ervin Phillips, Gilbert Phillips, Gillard Phillips, Rosie Phillips, Ethel Phillips and Yvonne Davis.
He is survived by: his former spouse Elvie Tucker; his wife JoAnn Rush; his children, Penny Krout (Kenny), Timothy Phillips (Angela) and Marla Tanner Jr. (Jack); and his stepchildren, Pamela Scheffer (Les), Kim Clark and Kathy Cline (Justin) of Oakwood, IL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, a great great-granddaughter, 11 step grandchildren, 19 step great-grandchildren.
