He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Long and Anna Long (Heidke); his grandfather John; his wife Margaret Ann "Margie" Sovich; his sons, Douglas Long (Susan) of Goshen, Indiana, Stephen Long, Dr. Timothy Long and Robert Long; and his brothers, John and Francis. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Masses, Attica Community Foundation or the Alzheimers Foundation.
