She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Johnson and Ferol Johnson; her husband David L. Atkins; her brother Layton Johnson; and her sister-in-law Nancy Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine Atkins-Trimnell (Angus) of Homewood, IL and Elizabeth Nickerson (Matthew) of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Ewan Atkins-Trimnell, John Nickerson and Julia Nickerson; her sister-in-law Marni Powell (Margaret Atkins); her cousins, James Johnson of Aroma, IN, Kelvin Booty (Joan) of Walnut Creek, CA, Tim Johnson (Kris) of Aroma, IN and Colleen Hilgenberg (Tom) of New Bern, NC.; and her nieces and nephews, David Powell (Beth), John Powell (Kristen), Julie Johnson Baron, Kyle Johnson, Dane Johnson (Margit Falk), Andrew Booty (David Yin), Debbie Hammer (Ron), Tim Atkins, Amy, Pauly, Jon Reed, Jill, Allen, Jay Johnson (Malinda), Jennifer and Matthews.
