He was predeceased by: his parents, Heribert Schiffli and Frieda Schiffli (Winkler); his stepfather Mike Pazitney; and his siblings, Tom Schiffli and Patricia Erwin.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah K. Schiffli (Griffin); his son Bryan Schiffli (Erin) of Angola; his grandchildren, Emilyn, Makenzy and Landon; his siblings, Carolyn Brown (Roc) of Waterloo, Lorraine Stoneburner of Avilla, Jim Schiffli (Kathy) of Waterloo, Dick Schiffli (Judy) of Butler and Denny Schiffli (Teri) of Hamilton; his siblings-in-law, Liz Schiffli of Tallahassee, Florida and Steve Erwin of Garrett; and his aunt Mary Jo Frye of Zenia, Ohio. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
