He is survived by: his mother Barbara Akles (McAtee); his children, Jon Akles (Sara) of Greenfield and Erin Randall (Thomas) of Indianapolis; his former wife Rosemarie "Ree" Akles; his brothers, Mike Akles and Steve Akles; and his grandchildren, Dixie Randall, Tucker Akles and Melanie Akles.
