He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Bertha Mae Poisel; his siblings, Clifford Poisel (Arlene), Everett Poisel and Betty Irelan; and his grandson Joseph Poisel.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jean White; his sons, Dale Poisel (Paula) of Tippecanoe, Terry Poisel (Adrian) of Rochester and James Poisel (Chantel) of Argos; his grandchildren, Shane Poisel (Tabitha), Alicia Blackford (Brandon), Brittany Shirley (Tim), Preston Poisel (Amanda), Samantha Rains (Connor), Alyssa Chilton (Christopher), Caleb Poisel and Jacob Poisel; his great grandchildren, Dacota, Fayth and Hope Poisel; his grandchildren, Brandt, Marshall, Jackson, Penelope Blackford, Mason Shirley, Paitlynn, Madelyn Poisel and Wesley Rains; and his siblings, Marilynn Benda, George Poisel (Pat), Carol Dust (Jerry) and Donna Mier (John).
