She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth D. Powell and Betty J. Powell (Klingerman); her husband Richard E. Smith; and her grandchildren, Kyle Smith and Breanna Abbott.

She is survived by: her sons, Michael Smith (Sherry) of Argos, Indiana and Matthew Smith (Stacy) of Argos; her grandchildren, Zachery Smith (Hannah), Alyssa Howard (Chris), Isaiah Smith, Parker Smith, Izabelle Hayn, Matthew Smith Jr., Meagan Jagnecki and Monica Crace; her great grandchildren, Addy, Bentley and Teagyhn; and her sister Sue Trump (Mike) of Argos, Indiana..
