He is survived by: his wife Robin Nelson; his daughter Denise Johnson (Robert) of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Ryan (Caitlin) and Kayla of Floyd; his sons, Anthony Hurt (Emma) of Lynchburg, Virginia and Phillip (Meredith) of Peoria; his grandchildren, Will, Kate and Jack; his child Meredith Reynolds (Stephen) of Miami; his granddaughters, Emilia and Julia; and his sisters, Jennifer Bjorgen (Kris) of Lexington, Nancy Hight (Paul) of Rocklin and Patricia Feerst of Bonita Springs. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
