He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tharp and Grace Tharp (Breese); and his siblings, Vera, Lula, Paul, Clyde, Robert, George, Allen, Gene, Jed and Keith.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Tharp (Siders); his children, Susan Lynn Garrity of Arcadia, IN, Dennis Ray Tharp of Madison, IN and Ryan Wayne Tharp; and his grandchildren, Daniel Garrity, Katie Garrity, Kelsey Nighthawk and Abigail Lowery.
