He was predeceased by : his parents, Cedric "Tommy" Cox and Martha Cox (Morgan). He is survived by : his wife Lesley Cox of Arcadia, IN; his children, Jon A. Cox (Melissa) and Jamie Cox Mitchell (Tim); his grandchildren, Jacob Mitchell (Morgan), Caleb Mitchell and Kayanna Cox; and his great grandchild Forrest Mitchell.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartley Funeral Homes (209 W Jackson St, Cicero, IN 46034). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Legion Post 212, 1600 Main Street, Lapel, IN 46051 in memory of Jon "Yogi" Cox would be welcome.
