He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Whitcomb and Rosemarie Whitcomb; his siblings, Joanna Varner and Cecil Whitcomb; and his grandson Scott McGhee.
He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Brent Whitcomb (Susan) and Susan McGhee; his siblings, Steve Whitcomb and Rosalyn Manahan; and his grandchildren, Jessica Stevenson, Kaitlyn Pingree, Angela King and Brady Whitcomb. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
