He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Wayne; his wife Karen D. Nagel; and his sisters, Mary Gatchell and Margaret Nagel. He is survived by: his daughter Wendy Platt (Jeff) of Fort Wayne; his grandsons, Andy (Lisa Mignerey) and Cory Platt; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Savannah, Serenity and Husdon; his girlfriend Phyllis Hufnagle; and his partner's daughter Sherri Hufnagle.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
