It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Waltenberger of Angola, Indiana, born in Hicksville, Ohio, who passed away on June 19, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Mettert and Olive Mettert (Gordon); her husband Eldwin "Max" Waltenberger; her son Jim Waltenberger; and her sister Shirley Culler.

She is survived by: her son Ron; her daughter-in-law Mary Waltenberger of Federalsburg, Maryland.; her son Greg; her daughter-in-law Sheli Waltenberger of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Boston Waltenberger, Sheena Tobin, Kristi McGrew, Dan Smith, Mitch Smith, Austin Saurbeck and Chris McClyment; her brother Dennis; her sister-in-law Beverly Mettert of Hicksville; her brother Guy Mettert, Jr. (Brenda) of Owingsville, Kentucky.; and her brother-in-law Max Culler of Clear Lake.
