He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ross L. Charnley and Rita M. (Pursley); his wife Marlena Jo; his daughters, Jessica Anderson (Jason), Dara Sparling (Matt) and Ashley Charnley (Holden Harmes); and his grandchildren, Laithan, Lachlan, Lowan, Eve, Lanie, Isaac and Lydan.

Memorial donations may be made to the family for a memorial at Pokagon State Park.
