Charles F. Sallows Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles F. Sallows of Angola, Indiana, born in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on August 15, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John F. Sallows; his son Matthew Sallows (Sandy); his spouse Thyra Witt; his sisters, Carmelita Merrill and Mary Ann Turner; and also, Michelle Overton, Michael Dant (Emily) and Kristina Creek (Terrell).

He is survived by: his children, Jill Herrera Sallows (Pablo) of Santiago, Chile and Christian (Janine); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Isidora Herrera, Jada Hall and Addison Sallows; his stepson Jack Overton; his stepgrandchildren, Shelby and Zackary Overton (Emma); his pet Refuge; and also, Rhonda Shoemaker, Susie (Tom), Carrie and Michael Shoemaker. He is also survived by moms brother, my favorite uncle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge, Inc., 4626 S. Burnett Dr., South Bend, IN 46614, where Charlie and Thyra adopted their beloved PJ, a Maltese-mix who currently resides with Chris and Janine in Angola.
