He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy J. Mounce; his mother Elizabeth Stearns (Schultz); his siblings, Elizabeth Myers and Hugh Stearns; and his brother-in-law John Bolletta.
He is survived by: his son Charles; his daughter-in-law Amanda Stearns of Hudson; his son Lawrence; his daughter-in-law Teri Stearns of Angola; his daughter Tamera; his son-in-law Edward Wise of Angola; his brother David; his sister-in-law Anita Stearns of Schererville, Indiana.; and his sisters, Mary Alice Agfter of Littleton, Colorado., Veronica Bolletta of Hannibal, Missouri. and Diana Janda of Hobart, Indiana.. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (700 W Maumee St, Angola, IN 46703).
