It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allan J. Benda of Angola, Indiana, born in Brooklyn, Iowa, who passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Allan departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Allan may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Allan leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester J. Benda and Donna Benda (Lepley); and his son Kory D. Conley. He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Benda of Angola, Indiana; his children, Melissa D. Grimm (Jeff) of Johnston, Jeffrey A. Benda of Portland, Amber Morris (Steve) of Cygnet and Kristy Teegardin (Rusty) of Hoytville, Ohio; and his sisters, Elaine Wilcox (Dan) of Johnson City and Mary Flander (Dennis) of Montezuma, Iowa.. He is also survived by grandchildren and one precious great-grandchild.
