He was predeceased by: his sister Katherine Donaldson; his stepdaughter Laura Elizabeth Gates; and his granddaughter Allisandra Gates. He is survived by: his spouse Kassandra Kay Frantz; his children, Chris Banister (Dawn) of Andrews, Raymond Banister (Debbie) of Conyers, Rick Banister of Gas City and Sylvia Banister of Wabash; his stepchildren, Beth Wilcox (Randell) of Wabash, Chris Gates and Todd Gates (Vicky); and his siblings, Bryan Banister and Anita Vrem. He is also survived by several grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
