She was predeceased by: her parents, Ward Denman and Violet Denman (Galbraith); her husband Keith Gilbert; her sister Martha Pollock; and her nieces, Pam Jones and Patty Overstreet.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Gilbert of Andrews, Jerry Gilbert of Huntington, Ronald Gilbert (Barbara) of Wabash, Shirley Shellenbarger (John) of Wabash, Deborah Niccum (Tom) of Wabash and Beverly Garroitt (Stan) of Andrews; and her brother Jim Denman of Huntington. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 34 Great grandchildren, and 22 Great Great grandchildren, twenty grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 32 great great grandchildren.
