He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Howard, Grace Hart, Kenneth and Evelyn McElfresh; his sister-in-law Kelly Ripberger; and his father-in-law Robert Ripberger.

He is survived by: his parents, Karen Swanson (Gary Smith) and Ed Hart (Pat Baker); his wife Tammy Hart; his children, Taylor Hart and Tristen Hart; his grandson Braylon Boone; his mother-in-law Joanne Ripberger; his brother Troy Hart (Michelle); his stepsiblings, Hank Swanson (Annette), Heidi Horten, Jane Nichols (Ron), Tim Smith (Linda), Pam Gorman (Kim) and Steve Smith (Annetta); his niece Ariel Hart Brown (Matthew); and his nephews, Kyle, Kaden and Mathaniel Hart. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, National Kidney Foundation, or the Madison County Humane Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
