He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Wire and Blanche Wire; and his siblings, Ben, David, Darrell, Evelyn, Edith, Bonnie and Jackie.

He is survived by: his children, JoAnna Spence (Randy), Lea Welbaum (Rich) and Ted Adam Wire; his grandchildren, Janet Carl (Chris), Justen Mullins (Destini), Stephen Carl (Travis), Jarren Mullins, Mike A. Witmer (Erika), Luke Witmer (Kacie), Jada Mullins, Nichole Thompson, Jackson Mullins, Kelsey Thompson and Amy Witmer; and his siblings, Jewell Eason, Linda Tucker, Tom L. Wire (Sandy) and Mike Wire (Cindy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
