He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Horner and Janice Horner (Stalbaum); his wife Char Horner (Bradway); his children, Kari Fagin (Dan), Craig Akers (Jessica) and Amy Ray (Chuck); his grandchildren, Anna Larimer (Joe), Jacob Fagin, Madeline Akers, Allison Akers, Daniel Miner and Jaylah Tincher; and his siblings, Donna Persinger and Scott Horner. He was also cherished by two nieces and two nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to South Meridian Church of God or to the Children of Promise program through the church.
