She was predeceased by: her parents, James Francis and Ethel Anna Ward (Wiseman); her brothers, Richard, Ronald and Jim Ward; and her daughter Karen Garland.

She is survived by: her husband Tom Burton; and her sons, Steve (Lisa), Dan (Jill), Jeff and David Burton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
