He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Roberts and Dola Roberts Givens (Collins); his stepfather James Givens; his sister Frances Roberts Horton; his daughter Sheri Ogle-Adams; his nephew Dennis Parkhurst; and his great grandchildren, Camren Mercer and Kinsley Mercer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Roberts Key of Chesterfield, Rebecca Roberts Brown of Indianapolis and Melissa K. Roberts Hart of Anderson; his sisters, Betty Roberts Parkhurst and Janet Givens Castor; and his grandchildren, Breck Adams, Ashley Adams-Mercer, David Adams, Jr., Amber Waymire, Derek Otto, Evan Key, Michelle Fuller, Erica Brown, Victoria Brown, Clarissa Hart, Thomas Hart, Johnathan Hart-Davis and Matthew Hart-Crisler. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
