He was predeceased by: his parents, Chauncey "Pete" Michael and Gail Michael (Hancock); his siblings, Dan, Steve Michael, Karen Ferree and Melanie Wilder; and his son Ryan Michael.
He is survived by: his children, Rod Michael (Maureen) of Zionsville, Indiana and Kyra Sorgenfrei (Dan) of Melbourne Beach, Florida; his daughter-in-law Maureen Michael of Erie, Colorado; his grandchildren, Naomi, Noelle, Bethany Michael, Madelyn, Keeley, Daniel Sorgenfrei, Lily, Owen and Eleanor Michael; and his friends, Paul, Betty Sanders, Heather (Brian), Lukas, Brody Sullivan, Hannah (Jason), Jay, Sydney Dillmon and Madalynn Mercer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
