It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert W. Phipps Sr. of Anderson, Indiana, born in Monterey, Tennessee, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fate Phipps and Ella Phipps (Harris); and his siblings, Louise, Emmet McClure, Beacher, Ann Phipps, Paul Phipps, Betty Ruth Phipps and David Phipps.

He is survived by: his wife Bertha Phipps (Willhoite); his children, Robert Phipps Jr. (Jenny), Davy Phipps (Melissa Vaughn), Michael Phipps (Nedra) and Carrie Webb (Jason); his siblings, Mil Ligon, Larry Phipps and Janet Beaty; and his stepsons, Elliott and Randall Swallows. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
