Rita Mummert Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Mummert of Anderson, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2024 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Mummert to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Kearns and Florence Kearns (Hopkins); and her sister Vivian Simpson. She is survived by: her husband Paul "Herb" Mummert; her children, Stephen Mummert (Sharon) and Stephanie Powless (William); her grandchildren, Amanda Anixter (Kyle), Tad Powless (Erica), Anastasia Painter, Jessica Murphy (Thomas), Thomas, Christian and Noah Mummert; and her siblings, Jan Green (Russ Chapple), Caroline Morgan and Jeff Kearns (Amvic). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wesley Free Methodist (3017 W 8th Street Rd, Anderson, IN 46011).

Flowers may be sent to Wesley Free Methodist Church, or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
